Wow, it's been over a YEAR since i updated.  So much has happened, and no idea where to start. Let's do it Timeline style

Summer 2004 - Last summer was the best summer of my life.  Had tons of fun interning at Interbrand, met lots of amazing people, and came home to the coolest roomies and the best boyfriend ever.

Fall 2004 - In a mixture of sad and excited emotions, my boyfriend was sent to Tokyo by his company (for 6 months). Yes, we endured 6 months of long distance daily webcamming.  He's back now, and there is no better test of your love than being torn 10000 miles apart with a 13 hour time zone difference But as i said, it was also exciting (for me too) because...

Christmas 2004 and New Year's 2005- After ruthie and cheryl came to visit NYU as per our annual tradition (and we of course again had a BLAST), I went to TOKYO!!! for winter break to be with my honey :) Such great and wonderful times.  I think if there is a city I would live in other than my beloved NYC, it would be Tokyo.  And of course, spending time with my mister shopping in Tokyo and visiting the historical picturesque Kyoto was just...wonderful

February 2005-Me and Ruthie went to visit Marvin in CHICAGO! good times, as always!!  Freezing cold in that icebox, but Marvin was a great host and there is nothing better than catching up and spending time with your best friends.

Spring Break 2005 - Like all my friends who went to some tropical island down south...i also went down south...but to florida to visit my boyfriend's parents.  Yes, not exactly what you call a "spring break vacation"  but I wouldn't change a thing.

April 2005 - My honey FINALLY comes home for good!  but is sent to Atlanta for his next project. Alas, the life of a consultant.  Not too bad though, his company flew me down (for free) to atlanta weekly  Yes I have been working hard on my southern accent.

May 2005 - Graduation! Such a weird time.  I felt so sad mostly b/c I felt like I haven't developed a strong attachment to my school and wouldn't really miss it...but thinking back, I'm glad this is where I went.  As my former roomie Amy said once when we attended a conference on the Columbia campus.
"Sometimes I wonder what my college years would have been like if I had gone to a REAL college." haha.  Lots of mixed feelings but definitely no regrets.

Summer(NOW) - So i just returned from a cruise to the Bahamas with my boyfriend.  AMAZING.  My favorite vacation ever! Miami South Beach, Private Island with crystal clear waters that remain shallow 50 feet into the ocean, snorkeling (and me freaking out b/c i choked on saltwater, leading to the guide giving me her vest to use as a "floatation device" - yes very embarrassing), Atlantis on Paradise Island, chocolate buffet, the best dessert i've ever had, live music everywhere, and being pampered.  It's times like this when I wonder how life can be any better   I'm tanned and burnt from the Bahamian sun and still suffering from landsickness

So i'm back in Jersey at my parents' now.  Still pretty bored, and waiting to move into my new apartment and start work in August.  Anyways, new place is on uppereast side on 3rd ave and 81st street, and I'm rooming with my girl Kavita.  Y'all better come visit us!!

Well that's it for now.  Off to continue my bum life and watch some more tv.

i don't want to study.  So we know what this means:

Time for LONG update!!!

1. Early March...took a bunch of midterms and finals (i remember that i took three in one day and was so surprisingly NOT stressed out that i was freaking everyone and myself out) and then that very night i broke down and cried and called my mommy b/c i was just too drained...but still had to write a paper due the next day.  glad THAT's over..

2. SPRING BREAK: Me, Helen, and Kavita went to NEW ORLEANS! and oh man it was SO MUCH FUN! Definitely awesome to get away from the snow. we stayed at the intercontinental, and they were having some kind of business convention, so everyone was so dressed up all the time, and we're in our flip flops and tank tops.  We had such a blast there: went to art galleries, voodoo museums, um..a mall, had beignets at cute cafes, went to all the landmark places, Anne Rice's house in the garden district, the famous graveyard, and of course, went bar/club hopping on bourbon street, and decided that they all suck compared to NYC nitelife (except Pat O'brien's...if you are ever there, THAT is the place to go).  Here, let the moments speak for themselves:

Other Highlights: Getting hit on by 50 yr old guys, Some old dude looking down Helen's shirt and asking her if we liked our "beads", Getting the beads  at St Paddy's Parade, the "Great" service at Cafe DuMonde (Don't ever go there..ever), soupy pasta at restaurant with old lady playing piano and singing old songs like blue moon (she actually wasn't that bad, but like her DIY hair dye job was so hideous that her hair looked purplish), me tripping on bourbon st, boys who just LOVE NYU and kept asking us questions about it, dancing in the "hottest" club on Bourbon st, guys with mullets (shiver), ugly girls flashing their ugly butts (double shiver).

Helen: What was the name of Huck Finn's Black friend?
Kavita: Tom Saywer?

At Krystal Diner:
Us: are these chili fries vegetarian?
Dumb girl at the counter: um...yes, of course
(eating the chili fries) (i am so drunk that i dont realize they had beef in them)
Helen: yo you guys, i don't think you can eat this. It has beef in it...
Me: ARGH!! I'm going to go yell at the stupid girl!!
Kavita: oh...i knew it was beef the moment i ate it, but i still ate it anyway.
Me: I cant believe you guys didn't tell me.  I wanna puke now.
Kavita: But it was GOOD wasn't it?

~and so concludes an awesome trip~

3. Late March: MY BIRTHDAY! i had a blast w/ my girls, chilling and then karaoking  and of course w/ honey @ espn zone and the LION KING!  Thank you to everyone who called, im-ed, mailed presents.  I am now legal..woohoo! Next stop: Atlantic City and Vegas!

4. Early April: Nothing much going on, bunch on internship interviews, chillin, relaxing

5. Late April: Honey's Birthday! We went to Central Park for a picnic, Cafe Figuero on Bleeker for dessert, watched Cookin' (it is SO GOOD, everyone has to go watch it, it's hilarious and totally worth it!), then had dinner at Dragonfly. Such an awesome day it was.

6. Yesterday i went out w/ my girls to silk road palace got drunk on chinese food and wine, sang at the top of our lungs inside a car service (the poor guy) and then had a blast just chillin!

7.  So now, i have one more final to go.  As you can see I am procrastinating big time, but of course we all know it's b/c i am totally prepared and have been studying an average of 6 hours per day (no really i have)

For the Summer, I'll be staying in NYC @ Palladium, hopefully w/ my girls Helen and Kavita (if housing is nice enough to process our roommate request).  So if anyone wants to come visit, Let me know! Can't wait for all the fun we'll have.

Oh and also, i'll be interning full-time at Interbrand, doing brand management and valuation. (5th Ave and 18th Street, right next to express, banana, sephora) (8:30-5:30 days, way too early to wake up, if you ask me).  If anyone else is around during the summer, you BETTER call me up and hang out.  And if you are special enough, we'll take you in, and you wont have to live out on the streets.

Well i better get back to studying! so i can have fun TONITE! My mister is coming back! YAY!

Finals suck; i'm going to procrastinate.

It's the simply joys of life that really matter.  You hold you head up and smile and be grateful for how blessed you are...b/c you REALLY are.....no really.

I AM SO DAMN LUCKY

I have my mommy, my daddy, my best friends, all my girls, my buddies, GOD, and  Honey  And they all love me and believe in me.  What more can a girl ask for?

OK, enough insane talk.  Back to studying.

*edit* I realize how disgustingly gross the above entry just sounded, but oh wells! The stress of finals entitle me to temporary insanity

wow! almost 2 whole months w/o update.  I would say my xanga addiction is completely over! yet something in me feels like i SHOULD update for the sake of doing it, so here goes...

Christmas break:
spent xmas in Canada with my parents.  It was hella boring and the highlight of the trip was watching world idol.  We celebrated Christmas day by checking out this asian shopping plaza (it was pretty cool ~ reminded me of taiwan)  I stood there trying to not be embarrassed, as my lovely parents attempted to take those japanese booth photos.  Yes, my parents are weird like that.  They also hold hands everywhere.  It's cute but gross.   i was also reminded of how long it has been since i've seen so many of those asian hoochie girls walking around with their fobby i-need-a-haircut-badly boyfriends.  Damn, those scandalously dressed girls were only like 12!  i wanted to go up to them and tell them that they should treasure their childhood.  gosh i am old.

New years:  Ruthie and Cher came, as tradition holds, and again we had a blast.  I really can't think of exact details of what we did....we did a lot of shopping and eating and being out in the cold.  but it's just so great to be with your bestest friends in the whole entire world.  It's truly wonderful to have people where you can have late nite conversations till the wee hours of the morning, talking about just anything and everything.  I MISS THOSE GIRLS!

School year starting:  this semester sucks.  I have 18 credits and my days end as late as 5 or 6 with virtually no break.  I hate ending my days late!  I no longer have spare time to eat dinner on weekdays with my friends or hang out b/c i have to *shiver* study more.....At first, I was dying of exhaustion by every thursday, and it got so bad that i had to cut down hours from work, but oh wells, my trusty old daddy will still provide me with the money i need.  How i love my parents

umm...valentines day!! *sigh* well all i can say is that i am the luckiest girl alive.  Yes, you can challenge me on that theory, but beware, i will defend it to death, b/c my mister is the bestest bestest bestest honey in the world! And yes, that's all i'm going to say...some things are too special to be written down. If you want, you can ask me for details, and if you are special enough i just might tell you!

ok that's all! peace out homies!

Finals are finally over! well they've been over almost a week now, this was actually the first time i had ONE final exam....yes, but don't be jealous; i also had 5 papers...can't say i feel good and confident about it, but at least it's all OVER!  so let's see what have i been doing since? the past few days have been such a blur, but i shall organize it by date and time nonetheless b/c i love to organize warning: long entry ahead...

Tuesday (12/16):
2PM: Finished acct final! it totally kicked my ass but oh well...all i can do is pray ..and then went to work...yes, what a dedicated OA i am...
6PM: met up w/ my special mister  and went to get food and creme brulee!! and then got really really buzzed from ONE glass of wine..and then watched toy story 2...although i have to admit, i was more drunk than i thought i was, and i really dont remember what the movie was about now..hahaha

Wednesday (12/17):
Late afternoonish: said goodbye   then went home to prepare for nite out
Night: Watched TV w/ Erica and then headed over to Kavita and Helen's and then to central bar, bar none, and finerty's. once again, partying with my girls is always fun!

Thursday (12/18)
11-2: headed over to work and had a nice last day at work w/ the girls and awesome food...(thanks mike!...and since you were still at the Dean's Luncheon when i left work and i didn't get to say bye...BYE!)
Nightime: (and then the real fun begins)
8 PM: A bunch of us decided to greet Rajay after his last final at Stern.  So we found Rajay and Phil and we all had a toast...unfortunately, Dave sucks at picking out drinks and whatever we ended up buying tasted like Robitussin..(no joke)
9 PM: We then headed over to Arturo's for pizza and jazz..had a bunch of fun
11 PM: The boys went to the comedy cellar, but i wanted to hang with my girls, so i told them i would meet up w/ them later...
12 AM: went to this party that sucked, and then headed to bar none (yes, again) this time, it was mad crowded...and there were so many shady guys
2AM: (after extensive text messaging w/ brian and dave) they told me they were in alphabet city, so we decided to join them.  It was a nice bar and we all just chilled and fell asleep, and finally went home.  It was great just to hang out with them b4 everyone left for europe...and it was a nice way to end the semester..

Highlights from the night:
(at Bar None)
(Guy comes over): Hey wanna dance?
Me: Um..sorry, i'm here with my girls
Guy: come on..
Me: Yo i have a bf alright?
Guy: (gives me the finger): FINE!

(20 min later)
(Guy comes over): hey wanna dance?
Me: No, sorry, have a bf. he's a policeman..and he'll be back soon after he gets me my drink
(guy leaves)
Helen: um...wasnt that the same guy?
Me: noo....the other one was wearing white i think...
Helen: NO! look! he just put his sweater over his shirt...
(HAHHAHA...how idiotic..he thought he could disguise himself hahaha loser)

(Walking in alphabet city)
Kavita: eww..this a sketchy place
2 guys across the street: Hey girls, need a ride?
(we just walk faster)
guys: Sure, just run as fast as you can
Helen: (VERY Loudly) If i werent so drunk, i might actually be scared!!!!
